Huisman delivers 250mt Knuckle Boom Crane for new Subsea 7 Multi Purpose Offshore Construction Vessel

Huisman, the Dutch-based specialist in lifting, drilling and subsea solutions will soon deliver a 250mt Knuckle Boom Crane to Subsea 7. This state-of -the-art crane is currently being load tested at the Huisman facility in Schiedam, the Netherlands. The crane will be installed onboard Subsea 7's newly buid Multi Purpose Offshore Construction Vessel Seven Pacific within the next months.

CSD IBN BATTUTA Built in Croatia

In 2007 one of the leading dredging contractors in the world, Jan de Nul, ordered four large self-propelled cutter dredgers from the yard Uljanik Brodogradiliste in Pula, Croatia. These dredgers are designed using the latest technology and innovation and are employable worldwide. Insights from the owners' long-term experience with their existing dredgers have also been incorporated in this design.

ICCP for Wind Turbine

To design an impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system for a bare steel tripod support structure for a wind trubine that is submersed in seawater with the legs being anchored in mud, international standards must be applied. Together with our in-house experience a suitable ICCP system for the required lifetime was designed.

The ICCP system design can be verified as following:

    - Performance testing at sight.

    - By numerical computer simulations.
